It was a rain-marred encounter which saw Brisbane Heat clinching their second win of the season by 15 runs (DLS Method). On a breezy day with some showers expected, The Heat batsmen courtesy of their senior most players Chris Lynn (54 off 30) and Brendon McCullum (56 off 35) stepping to the occasion and embraced a fruitful 186 for the loss of 8 wickets in 20-overs.
Sydney Thunder innings was constantly affected by rain delays which eventually meant that Thunder could only manage 34 runs on the board for the loss of 2 wickets in 5.3 overs.
