CSK vs KKR Dream11 Team Tips IPL 2020 GRAND LEAGUE Captain Picks, 29 October

CSK vs KOL Dream11: An inconsistent Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side will take on the bottom-placed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a must-win contest to stay in contention for the playoffs.
IPL 2020 seems to be heading towards a close finish with the tournament still wide open as no team has officially qualified for the playoffs yet. Kolkata Knight Riders have secured 12 points from as many matches so far and should win the next couple of matches to qualify for the playoffs, while Chennai Super Kings is the only team to be eliminated so far and would look to return the same fortunes to other teams with nothing but pride to play for. KKR suffered another top-order collapse in their last game against KXIP managing to score a paltry 149 at Sharjah which never proved enough at the small venue. Meanwhile, CSK produced a clinical performance with both bat and ball against RCB last game and are well set to disrupt other team’s playoff chances. An interesting subplot in this game will be to watch how the spin trio of CSK – Jadeja, Tahir and Santner copes against the left-handed spin hitters in KKR – Rana, Narine and Morgan.

CSK vs KOL Dream11 Team Prediction

Kolkata Knight Riders Team News

Injury update, unavailability– Andre Russell remains a doubt due to a knock and will be assessed before the match.
Expected Team Changes: S Lad could come into team here replacing R Tripathi in the playing 11.
Team Combination
: KKR’s top-order has been unreliable this tournament with the exception of Gill and the promotion of D Karthik to the top from his usual finisher role has been an utter failure yet still persisted with. They’ve also preferred an additional bowler thereby compromising the much-needed batting depth in the absence of A Russell who is still recovering from a hamstring strain. Ever since his 81 against CSK, R Tripathi hasn’t really performed up to his potential which should open the doors for S Lad. Other than that they’re less likely to make some sweeping changes in CSK vs KKR  Dream11 Team prediction.

Chennai Super Kings Team News

Injury update, unavailability: West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is likely to sit out yet another game with an injury.

Expected Team Changes and Team Combination: After hinting at the possibility of providing opportunities for the reserve player, CSK brought in M Santner and Monu Kumar into the eleven last game. While M Santner was impressive in his first outing this season with a tidy spell, Monu Kumar went for some runs. In all likelihood, KM Asif could get a look-in in place of Monu Kumar.

CSK vs KOL Today Match Prediction

In terms of raw match-ups, Kolkata Knight Riders will be the firm favourites going into this match with a left-handed batting battalion to counter CSK’s spinners and the hard-lengths of Ferguson complemented by the mystery of Narine and Chakravarthy who made CSK choke in their previous encounter against KKR. The only factor that goes in favour of CSK is the presence of some fresh faces who would be pretty eager to perform in CSK vs KKR Today Match Prediction.

CSK vs KOL Dream11 Prediction Captain, Differential Picks

Captaincy Picks –

S Narine – His all-round skills will come to the fore against CSK with him most likely to be floated around in the middle-overs to take on their spinners and his excellent track record with the ball against CSK. There aren’t many threats for him on both the batting and bowling fronts from CSK.

S Narine’s T20 numbers against SLA and Wrist-spin:
Runs – 431, Average – 18.74, S/R – 173.80

S Narine’s Career Bowling Numbers against CSK:
Wickets– 18, Average – 17.8

S Curran – He’s one of the consistent performers for CSK both with bat and ball this season. With Dhoni using him at the PP and death, there are more chances for him to get amongst the wickets and he’s likely to be promoted up the batting order to counter the Narine threat.

S Curran in IPL 2020:
Runs – 173, Average – 21.62
Wickets – 13, Average – 23.69

S Curran against Narine in all T20s:
Runs –29, Balls – 12, Outs – 0

S Gill – He’s the highest run-scorer for KKR this season with 378 runs from 12 matches. He has played with absolute control this season, but acceleration has been a big issue for him. With the presence of stroke-makers like Rana, Narine and Morgan to take on the spinners this match, Gill has no pressure to up the ante.

S Narine’s T20 numbers against SLA and Wrist-spin: Runs – 263, Average – 52.60, S/R – 137.70
S Gill in last 5 matches: Runs – 124, Average – 24.8

Vice-Captaincy Picks –

F Du Plessis – He’s been shown some good form this season scoring 401 runs from 12 matches and is the only batsman well equipped to take on KKR’s pacers in this CSK lineup.

F Du Plessis against KKR: Runs – 203, Average – 25.38
F Du Plessis in last 5 matches: Runs – 94, Average – 18.8

I Tahir – Dubai usually assists the spinners and when you look at his head-to-head numbers against some KKR batsmen he’s a must pick for CSK vs KKR Dream 11 Prediction.

I Tahir against S Gill: Runs – 6, Balls – 7, Outs – 1
S Narine: Runs – 17, Balls – 10, Outs – 1
E Morgan: Runs – 46, Balls- 31, Outs – 2
N Rana: Runs – 8, Balls – 9, Outs – 1
Darthik: Runs – 32, Balls – 30, Outs – 4

N Rana – His records against wrist-spin are pretty bad especially considering he’s a left-hander, but with him opening the batting there’s value in picking him as CSK doesn’t have a hit-the-deck pace bowler in their ranks to trouble him with the short balls and even if he gets out to Tahir, the job would’ve already been done.
N Rana’s T20 numbers against SLA: Runs – 169, Average – 84.50, S/R – 164.10
N Rana in last 5 matches: Runs – 115, Average – 23

Differential Picks –

D Karthik – KKR team management’s decision to promote him up the order hasn’t really worked with him enduring his first bad season in recent years. But with Narine likely to be floated around in the middle-overs, D Karthik will be forced to play the finisher role which he has done with much ease.
D Karthik against CSK: Runs – 565, Average – 28.25
D Karthik at No.6 position: Runs – 680, Average – 34.00, S/R – 153.85

N Jagadeesan – Looking at the bowling attack of KKR and the vulnerability of CSK’s top-order against raw pace, there are high chances of N Jagadeesan coming in to bat early. He’s a good player of spin and his experience of playing V Chakravarthy in TNPL will help his case.
N Jagadeesan in TNPL 2019: Runs – 448, Average – 64.00
