Both Punjab and Delhi have been on the wrong end of a lot of rain affected games.
Punjab have lost one game and gone on to win four games while four of their games have been abandoned as they sit pretty at the second position.
Delhi have been very erratic and are coming off a loss against Vidarbha. Their top players have not been performing well and need to fire.
They have played two games less than Punjab and a win here would mean that they might leap frog competition in this game with a win and be closer to the top 4.
Punjab right now sit at the number two position but have played more games so they need to keep winning games.
Venue: Moti Bagh Stadium, Vadodara
Punjab Team News:
The Punjab team boasts of players who like Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Anmolpreet Singh, Sidharth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma and Mayank Markande who are all vying to impress with their performances to raise their stakes when it comes to National team selection and also their auction price at the IPL.
In the previous game, Sidharth Kaul picked up four wickets against Baroda. Sandeep Sharma also bowled a very economic spell giving only 31 runs in the 10 overs.
Mayank Markande has been bowling very well picking up 4 & 3 wickets in the previous two games.
Batsmen Abhishek Sharma and captain Gurkeerat Singh Mann have been playing well and looking in great touch and against a good bowling lineup they would be looking at a good performance too. In the last game Karan Kalia had picked up 4 wickets too
Delhi Team News:
The Delhi team is led by the young Dhruv Shorey who is also a key batsman but has not been performing up to potential.
Shikhar Dhawan is their star batsman and has played a few cameos here and there but his motive of being in the tournament is more to prepare himself for the forthcoming series.
The real star for the show has been Nitish Rana not just with the bat but also with the ball.
The bowling is taken care of by the tear away quick Navdeep Saini and the spinning allrounder Pawan Negi
