Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions of the IPL and are also the leaders after six games played. They have lost only once, and the management made a quick change in order to address the weakness. Their bowling is too good to get past against, and the fact of the matter is that they still don’t exactly have any weaknesses. Even though they are missing Dwayne Bravo due to injuries, his replacement in Faf du Plessis has already made an immediate impact. MS Dhoni knows the side inside and out, and it is clear why they have been this dominant.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals are in the second last spot and have won only once this season. This is not a good outcome for a team of their stature who has genuine superstars in the lineup. With foreign players such as Jos Butler, Ben Stokes and Steve Smith, the team has bona fide players who have proven themselves internationally. They need to get their head straight or else will once again miss out on making the playoffs in the IPL.

Match Details:

Venue – Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Rajasthan, India

CSK vs RR Dotball Team News

  • Chennai Super Kings are coming off one of their most commanding wins and they will not be making a change to their starting lineup.
  • Rajasthan Royals need Sanju Samson back in the starting lineup as their batting collapsed last time out.

Pitch Report:

This pitch does not favour batting as much as others in India, and given the size of the stadium, has had a low average in terms of scoring rate.
