Delhi, March 30, Saturday at 08:00 PM IST
Delhi Capitals will be seen hosting Kolkata Knight Riders at their home ground Feroz Shah Kotla in the second fixture of Saturday’s doubleheader. While Kolkata Knight Riders would be eyeing third win on the trot, hosts Delhi Capitals will be looking to bounce back from the six-wicket drubbing at hand of Chennai Super Kings in the previous encounter. The match will begin at 08:00 PM IST.
Kolkata Knight Riders have travelled all the way to Capital to play their first away game after securing wins in the first two home games. Knight Riders secured 6 wickets win in the opening fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad and clinched 28 runs win over Kings XI Punjab, courtesy Andre Russell’s havoc in both the games. In both the games, Andre Russell (49* of 19 against Hyderabad) and (48 of 17 against Punjab) turned out to be the match winner for Kolkata.
So, it will be interesting to watch if manages to continue his “Muscle Power” in the Feroz Shah Kotla.
Delhi Capitals started their IPL 2019 campaign with 37 runs win over Mumbai Indians, courtesy Rishabh Pant’s blistering 27-balls 78*. However, the side faced 6 wickets defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings in the first home fixture at Feroz Shah Kotla. CSK took advantage of the sluggish wicket and outplayed the hosts in their home condition.
While the wicket is expected to be similar to the previous game, let’s see if Delhi Capitals manages to bank on their home conditions.
Total – 23
No result – 01
Like the previous game, the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi is expected to be a slow wicket. With the passage of the game, the Kotla wicket slows down and it becomes hard to score runs easily, especially on spinners. The spinners will love to bowl here and can prove out to be the game-changers.
