Bangalore, April 05, Friday at 08:00 PM IST
The seventeenth fixture of Vivo IPL 2019 will witness Royal Challengers Bangalore hosting the two times title winners Kolkata Knight Riders at M Chinnaswamy Stadium tomorrow night. Placed at the bottom, RCB is still searching their maiden win of the tournament while the upbeat KKR will be looking to carry their good run. Placed fourth, Knight Riders are soaring high on confidence, courtesy Andre Russell’s muscle power and it will be a tough challenge for Yuzvendra Chahal and company to keep a check on his power-hitting abilities. The match will begin at 08:00 AM IST.
Bangalore’s outing in this season has been disappointing in all three departments – batting, balling and fielding. They have dropped plenty of catches in each game and have missed out a couple of run out chances too. With the bat, only Parthiv Patel and AB de Villiers have scored runs for the side. In bowling, only Yuzvendra Chahal has been an economic wicket taking bowler for the side while the rest of the bowlers have conceded way too many runs and have not been among the wickets too.
As per the skipper Kohli, the right balance is still missing out from the team and a couple of changes are certain in tomorrow’s game.
Cap'n Kohli: We have 10 games to go. If we start turning things around pretty soon, then we can get on a roll as well. We have to keep believing as a side. Just four games in, we would have liked one result our way if not two.#playBold— Royal Challengers Bangalore (@RCBTweets) April 3, 2019

On the opposite, Kolkata Knight Riders are comfortably sitting at fourth spot with two wins and one defeat in three encounters. They started their campaign with two consecutive home wins against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab and the 3 runs defeat against Delhi Capitals in the Super Over in the last encounter wouldn’t have bothered the franchise much. With the in-form Nitish Rana, R Uthappa, Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell in the ranks, KKR will be high on confidence and would be looking to return to winnings ways.
