Indian Premier League, 2019 | Kolkata Knight Riders vs Kings XI Punjab PREVIEW

KKR vs KXIP Dream11 Match Prediction | Who Will Win Today Match

Kolkata, March 27, Wednesday at 08:00 PM IST

Just a couple of games have been played so far in the IPL 2019 and the tournament has already made huge headlines. Be it the turning track at MA Chidambaram in the tournament opener, Andre Russells' 19-ball 49 runs finish at Eden Gardens,  Rishabh Pant's havoc (78 of 27 balls ) in Wankhede Stadium or R Ashwin mankading J Buttler at Sawai Man Singh, each game of IPL 2019 has brought out something new for the fans.

Something similar is expected when Kolkata Knight Riders will reload at Eden Gardens to host Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday evening. Both the sides have made a cracking start to the tournament and will be looking to continue their run. The match will begin at 08:00 PM IST.

Andre Russell – The game changer for KKR

Andre Russell pulled out a blinder at Eden Gardens with his unbeaten 49 runs in 19 balls as he helped his side register 6 wickets win over Sunrisers Hyderabad after chasing out a huge total of 182 runs. A Russell also overshadowed Dawid Warner's 85 of 53 which guided Sunrisers Hyderabad to 181-3 in the allotted overs.

Kolkata Knight Riders are hard to outplay at their backyard in Eden Gardens and with the kind of playing11 they sported in the first game, it will be really a tough challenge for Kings XI Punjab. Although they are missing out a bit in the pace attack, they have one of the strongest batting line-ups this season.

C Gayle fireworks, Ashwin mankading Buttler

Kings XI Punjab pulled out 14 runs win over Rajasthan Royals at their fortress- Swai Man Singh Stadium to kick-start their campaign. The win would have surely boosted their confidence and will acts as a prerequisite as they are now travelling to Eden Gardens- the den of Kolkata.

Chris Gayle (79 of 47) and Sarfaraz Khan (46* of 29) helped Punjab post 184 runs total on the board which was appreciated well by the bowlers as they restricted the hosts at 170-9 in 0 overs. R Ashwin, Sam Curran and Mujeeb Ur Rahman picked two wickets each.

Kings XI Punjab will be requiring another teamwork to outplay Knight Riders and an interesting battle is expected to take place tomorrow.

The first game at Eden Gardens between the hosts KKR and SRH was an absolute cracker. The wicket is expected to remain the same- dual pace and little help to spinners.
