ENG vs IND Dream11: The last Test match between England and India will be played at Old Trafford, Manchester, starting tomorrow. India took an unassailable 2-1 lead courtesy of a first win at the Oval after 50 years. It was a collective effort by the visitors, however, Rohit Sharma was adjudged Player of the Match for his outstanding hundred in the second innings. It remains to be seen what combination England will pick and what sort of wicket they prepare for the final encounter as they look to level the series.
Joe Root’s purple patch seems to be never-ending. Do remember that he had two double hundreds in the subcontinent as well before his exploits in this series. He already has three tons and a half-century in the series, at a mind-boggling average of 94.
He may have been lucky to have landed the openers slot, but he has made it his own with some solid performances. It is imperative in England to see off the new ball and start well and KL Rahul has delivered along with Rohit Sharma.
Nobody could have predicted Ollie Robinson would be leading the wicket-taking charts at the end of four matches. He has troubled all Indian batters with his pace and bounce and bowls jaffas out of nowhere, especially with the new ball.
It is not very often that you would pick Virat Kohli as a differential. He has 3 consecutive 40+ scores now and is slowly coming back to his best. Time to get that elusive hundred and wrap up the series?
