The third match of T20 Mumbai sees Group A’s North Mumbai Panthers take on the newly formed Eagle Thane Strikers from Mumbai Eastern Suburbs. The match will be played on 15th May at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

This is their first match for both teams for Season 2. All the team are scheduled to play five matches. Three of the five matches will be played in the inter-group stage while the remaining two in the intra-group stage. Finally, the top two teams from each group will go on to play the semi-finals and seemingly the finals on May 26.

The new team Eagle Thane Strikers are yet to play their first official match but look strong with Mumbai’s Aditya Tare who also plays for Delhi Capitals in the IPL and should be beneficial for the team with his experience. While North Mumbai Panthers may have finished second from last in season 1, they look to be no slouches as they retained the batting prodigy Prithvi Shaw who has played as captain of the Indian U-19 cricket team and brought in promising youngsters Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sairaj Patel
