A confident Gujarat Giants Women will take on 2nd placed Delhi Capitals Women in match no. 9 of the Women’s Premier League 2023 at Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on March 11. After suffering two defeats in their first two games, Gujarat Giants registered their maiden win after defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 11 runs. Sophia Dunkley and Harleen Deol scored half-centuries to help the Giants score 210/7. All-rounder Ashleigh Gardner then took three wickets to restrict the RCB to just 190/6 to earn a crucial win.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals Women suffered their first loss of WPL 2023 in their last game against Mumbai Indians. The Capitals’ batting fell flat as the side got bowled out on just 105 runs. In reply, the MI Women chased the target in just 15 overs.
