GUY vs TKR Dream11 Prediction: Two of the favourites to win this year’s CPL – Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders will go head to head in 16th match of the season today. Trinbago Knight Riders are the only unbeaten team in the competition so far with 4 wins in as many matches while Guyana Amazon Warriors have not justified their tag just yet. They need to correct it very quickly before time runs out. Let’s take a look at our Dream11 fantasy cricket preview.
Guyana Amazon Warriors are coming off from a loss against Jamaica Tallawahs in the last match. Batting first, Guyana batsmen struggled right from the word go on an extremely slow pitch. Ross Taylor and Nicholas Pooran resisted for a while in the middle but all others from the top 8 were dismissed on single digits. Naveen-ul-Haq’s late innings somehow pushed the total to 108 runs. Guyana bowlers had defended 118 against the same opposition last week but they couldn’t replicate the same this time around. Naveen-ul-Haq picked up a couple but Jamaica Tallawahs were always sailing home.
Trinbago Knight Riders beat St Lucia Zouks in a rain-shortened match yesterday. Bowling first, Dwayne Bravo had a day to remember on the field. First, he became the first player to take 500 scalps in T20 cricket and then he produced a spell of 2-7 from 3 overs. Spinners Fawad Ahmed and Pravin Tambe also took a wicket each to restrict the Zouks. Chasing 72 runs from 9 overs, all they needed was a decent partnership from somewhere and they found one from Colin Munro and Darren Bravo. Trinbago Knight Riders chased down the total with an over to spare to remain unbeaten in the competition.
Historically, Trinbago Knight Riders have enjoyed an upper hand over their Guyana rivals. TKR have won 11 out of 20 matches played between them while Guyana Amazon Warriors have managed to sneak out on 9 occasions. In last 5 matches though, Guyana are leading by 3-2 over TKR. In the first meeting this year, TKR beat Guyana by 4 wickets in the opening match of the season.
The weather is expected to remain clear in Port of Spain today and there should not be any interruptions to the game. Conditions at the Queen’s Park Oval have been sluggish for the batting from whatever we have seen in last couple of days. And that should remain same for this match as well.

As per our Dream11 predictions, Trinbago Knight Riders are favourites to win this encounter against Guyana Amazon Warriors today. TKR have been unbeaten so far in the season and are familiar with the conditions due to local connection. But Guyana Amazon Warriors may not get a better opportunity than this to topple TKR in the absence of Sunil Narine.
