IND vs NZ Dream11 Match Prediction | Who Will Win Today’s Match

Mount Maunganui, January 28 at 07:30 AM IST

With two consecutive losses in two games, the host BlackCaps are in line for losing the five-match ODI series against the high flying Men in Blue. Opposite to the expected comeback in the second ODI, New Zealand once against looked miserable against India’s spin duo- Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. Kuldeep Yadav alone accounted for four wickets giving away just 45 runs in his ten over spell while Yuzvendra Chahal and Kedar Jadhav bagged three wickets together handing New Zealand 90 runs massive defeat in the second ODI while chasing a massive target of 325 runs.

India leads the series by 2-0 and is very well in line to seal it with another win when both the sides will reload at the same venue for the third ODI. While it will be the last game for Indian skipper Virat Kohli on this tour, Rohit Sharma will take the responsibilities of leading the side in the remaining two ODIs followed with 3T20Is scheduled to on February 06, 08 and 10 at Wellington, Auckland and Hamilton respectively.

Batting first in the second ODI at Bay Oval, India had a decent start and both the openers added 154 runs for the first wicket. While Rohit Sharma scored (87 of 96), Shikhar Dhawan (66 of 67), Virat Kohli (43 of 45) and Amabti Rayudu (47 of 49) helped the side carry on. In the end, it was Kedar Jadhav’s blistering 22* off 10 balls and MS Dhoni’s unbeaten 48 of 33 that helped India post a massive 324-4 on the board.

Coming to chase, New Zealand looked well on the chase-line when skipper Kane Williamson accumulated 18 of 4 balls with two huge sixes off M Shami but on the very next ball the seamer sent back Kane Williamson back to the dugout and New Zealand’s were on the backfoot with 51-2. The similar story followed when the wrist spinners came into the picture and New Zealand kept losing wickets at regular intervals, eventually falling short by 90 runs.
