Both teams have preferred youth over the experience in the series keeping the T20 World Cup next year in the mind. Both sides will look to try different combinations in the series to find their respective ideal squads ahead of the biggest T20 extravaganza.
Match: India vs South Africa, 2nd T20 South Africa Tour of India, 2019
Date: Wednesday, 18th September 2019
Venue: Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali
Time: 7:00 PM IST
Traditionally, Mohali is one of the fastest pitches India has to offer. The pitch has pace and bounce in it, and it will help the seamers early in the innings. But, Mohali also has been full of runs and will assist the batsmen too. The true nature of pitch helps batsmen in hitting through the line, and short boundaries also aid the batsmen cause.
The overcast conditions and rain will mean the seam bowlers will fancy their chances against the batsmen.
