Windies would look to forget a mauling by 224 runs, the result of the fourth ODI, and aim to draw level the series with a win at Thiruvananthapuram. They can draw inspiration from the second and third ODI where they pushed the hosts on the back foot.
India’s top-order – Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu – have delivered. However, Shikhar Dhawan will feel he has missed out. The hosts cannot be complacent and must be wary of the opponent, especially after witnessing the capability of Windies batsmen.
Windies can make a couple of changes for this one. Allrounder Fabien Allen could make way for Devendra Bishoo, while Sunil Amris could come in for Hemraj or Powell at the top of the batting order.
Ashley Nurse picked up a shoulder injury in the last outing is likely to play.
India’s XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (c), Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal/Ravindra Jadeja, Khaleel Ahmed
Windies’ XI: Chandrapaul Hemraj/Sunil Ambris, Kieran Powell, Shai Hope (wk), Shimron Hetmeyer, Marlon Samuels, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder (c), Ashley Nurse, Keemo Paul, Devendra Bishoo/Fabien Allen, Kemar Roach
Team 1& 2: Reinforcements making a mark
Possible changes: Devendra Bishoo & Sunil Ambris (Both Windies)
– Choose the changes as captain/vice-captain
This IND vs WI Dream11 prediction is high-risk but may you reap rewards if some assumptions come off.
Team 3, 4 and 5: Unlikely heroes
– Most of the Dream11 users pick Kohli, Rohit, Hetmyer and Hope as their captain/vice-captain.
– Drop the favourites, select others.
Team 6 and 7: Bowlers’ game
Run-fest is expected at Thiruvananthapuram. We’d hope for the opposite, select more bowlers hoping for a bowlers’ game
– Pick fewer batsmen, more bowlers and choose them captain/vice-captain.
