Johannesburg, December 11 at 10:30 PM IST
Tshwane Spartans kept their MSL playoff hopes alive after securing 28 runs win over Nelson Mandela Bay Giants in the last encounter and now will have to keep winning rest of the games. The first hurdle for Spartans comes straight from Jozi Stars when both the teams will lock horns at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg on Tuesday night.
After facing off Jozi Stars, Tshwane Spartans will lock horns with Durban Heat on Wednesday in back to back encounters. Placed fifth with 16 points, Spartans will have to win both the remaining games with big margins to avail bonus points and advance to the next round.
Above Spartans are Paarl Rocks, placed at fourth spot with 17 points, and Nelson Mandela placed third with 21 points.
On the opposite, Jozi Stars have clinched a spot in top three positions along with Cape Town Blitz, placed first in the league table.
The Johannesburg wicket is an excellent batting track with minimal help for bowlers. The track has produced 200+ runs in the past encounters and is said to remain the same in both the innings. Batters are expected too get good help from the pitch and another high scoring affair can be seen tonight. Chasing will be a bit easier, so the toss winning team might opt to bowl first.
