Goa with six points on board finds itself at the 12th spot in the table.
Their most recent game against Chattisgarh was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
However, Goa did start off the campaign with a defeat to Andhra, followed by a win against Jharkhand.
Kamat and Desai didn’t start off well with the bat but will be expected to open against Mumbai.
But it was Aditya Kaushik who found form and scored a scintillating hundred against Jharkhand.
The skipper Amit Verma got out cheap, while Chidambaram Gautam and Prabhudessai’s late cameo assisted Goa to score 266 in 50 overs.
Lakshay Garg, Heranv Parab and Prabudessai picked two wickets apiece. But it was Darshan Misal’s left-arm spin which stood out as he picked four wickets against Jharkhand.

Mumbai currently positioned at ninth spot in the table would be eager to get a complete game against Goa.
Their most recent encounter against Andhra ended with ‘no result’ due to rain in spite of Mumbai bowling eight overs.
Mumbai’s match against Hyderabad was also abandoned without a ball being bowled.
However, Mumbai did lose its first game of the campaign to Chattisgarh, followed by a win against Saurashtra.
Aditya Tare and Jay Bista will be expected to open the innings versus Goa. Tare scored a good knock of 90 against Chattisgarh in the first game.
Mumbai’s skipper, Shreyas Iyer is in good touch along with Suryakumar Yadav in the middle order.
Both sets have batsmen are on the back of two consecutive half-centuries for their side.
Shubham Ranjane contributed well with the bat against Saurashtra by playing a knock of 45 runs in the lower middle order.
Dhawal Kulkarni hasn’t been able to make much of an impact with the ball, but Shardul Thakur’s spell of three for 36 in ten overs did impress one and all.
That being said it’s Shams Mulani who has taken six wickets for Mumbai in the first two games versus Chattisgarh and Saurashtra.

Aditya Kaushik’s hundred in the last game for Goa will make him one of the players to watch out for against Mumbai.
