However, they have registered two wins against Central Districts and Canterbury in the last two encounters and are looking good.

Both the sides started their Super Smash T20 campaign against each other at Seddon Park, Hamilton in the tournament opener. After winning the toss, Wellington opted to bowl and invited Knights to set the target. With the help of skipper Dean Brownlie’s 99 of 46 deliveries and Tim Siefert’s 46 of 28, Knights posted a massive total of 215-6 in 20 overs. 

Coming to chase, Wellington got bowled out for 170 in 18.1 overs falling short by 45 runs. Anton Devcich was the pick of the bowler for the Knights finishing with 4-27. Ish Sodhi and D Mitchell also shared two wickets each.
