South Africa vs Sri Lanka 1st T20I NostraGamus Prediction:
South Africa would look to tune up for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 when they take on Sri Lanka in the first game of the three-match T20I series. The recently concluded ODI series did not test the hosts enough to prepare ahead and would want a better contest in the shortest format of the game.
Sri Lanka would have pinned hopes on the all-rounder duo of Thisara Perera and Isuru Udana, alongside Kusal Mendis who has done a fair bit with the bat. The chances of the tourists are limited but the shorter format does give them a glimmer of hope.
Keeping in mind the mega event that starts in less than 80 days, South Africa have named a strong squad for the 1st T20I against Sri Lanka to give WC probables enough practice. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka have made a ring of changes after a dismal show in the One Day Internationals.
