Oman have an opportunity to end their ICC World Cricket League Division campaign with a 100% record when they play Papua New Guinea in their last match at United Cricket Club Ground, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Oman have stayed perfect in the competition so far, winning all their four games. They lead the points table with 8 points, two points adrift of United States of America in second.

But the biggest achievement for this fledgling Cricket nation is that it has won the prestigious ICC ODI status. This significant achievement came four years after Oman clinched the T20 status with a five-wicket win over Namibia in 2015.
Papua New Guinea meanwhile are propping up the table after losing three of their first four games.
But they can still create history as there is every chance of them finishing fourth on the table. It’s worth noting that the top four teams are guaranteed to win the full ODI status.
With Oman and the United States of America already achieving the target, the two places are yet to be decided. All three, Hong Kong, Canada and Papua New Guinea are on 2 points apiece and have the chance to clinch the ultimate goal.
For PNG to meet the target, Namibia will have to beat Hong Kong, while they themselves have to beat Oman by a big margin.
