Auckland, January 20, Sunday at 05:00 AM IST
After registering six wickets win over Wellington in the last encounter, Auckland Aces will once again face Otago Volts in the twenty-first fixture of Super Smash T20 2019. This will be the second time both the sides will be coming face to face in this edition.
With two wins in six outings, Auckland Aces are placed bottom second in the ladder and would be hoping to influx momentum to their campaign. With just four more games remaining, Aces need a couple of quick wins to stay alive in the contest.
Otago Volts are placed second in the league table with two wins, two losses and two no results. With 12 points in the bag, They would be eyeing to clinch the second spot from Central Districts who have accumulated 14 points from three wins.
Both the sides first met at University Oval, Dunedin on last Sunday. After winning the toss, Otago Volts opted to bowl first and Auckland Aces scored 117-1 in 11 overs with the help of Martin Guptill’s unbeaten 62 and Glenn Phillips’ 43 not out of 23 deliveries before the rain came into play.
Auckland would be hoping for a similar outing and continue their winning momentum.
