Pakistan go up against New Zealand in the 2nd match of the five match T20I Series at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on 15th April, Saturday at 9:30 PM IST.
Pakistan were back to their sensational form in the first game. Their prime batters Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam struggled to get going at the start. However, it was Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub who showed them the way as they built a partnership and laid the foundation. Faheem Ashraf and Haris Rauf hit some lusty blows towards the end to power their team to 182.
New Zealand absolutely capitulated in the run chase. Visitors kept losing wickets as it was too hot to handle Haris Rauf in that passage of play. Mark Chapman impressed with a 34 off 27 deliveries but no other batters showed any signs of taking the attack to the opposition. New Zealand will need to come back better in this game.

The pitch in Lahore assists both the batters and bowlers. Even in the recently concluded PSL, it has shown that spinners will come into play as the game progresses. In the last game, batters struggled initially but then Pakistan batters proved they are a better side. Teams batting first will look to take it steady and then go big later in the end. Teams winning the toss will opt to bowl first. Average first innings score on this ground is 170.
