PAK vs SA Dream11 Match Prediction | Who Will Win Today Match
Kingsmead Durban, January 22 at 04:30 PM IST
After going through an assault in the Test series, Pakistan made a terrific comeback in the first ODI of the 5 match-series by winning the encounter by 5 wickets and taking an early lead in the series.
Despite a worthy unbeaten 27th ton from Hashim Amla and debutant Rassie van der Dussen’s 93 and losing only 2 wickets, South Africa could only manage 266 on the board. The fifth gear was definitely missing in their innings which made the difference in the end as they couldn’t reach 300 even with 8 wickets in hand.

Credit somewhere goes to the Pakistani bowlers as well who bowled in tandem and did not let South African batsmen explode. Pakistan’s chase was led by opener Imam-ul-Haq who kept one end safe with a commendable 86 and got good support in the form of Mohammad Hafeez who struck a valuable 71 of 63 deliveries which included 8 fours and 2 sixes.
They got to the target with 5 balls to spare and 5 wickets in hand. Now, the two teams will move to Kingsmead Durban for the second ODI which will take place tomorrow and it would be interesting to see if Pakistan can carry forward their performance from the first ODI.
Pitch conditions
The pitch at Kingsmead in Durban has assisted the slow ball bowlers as they get some even bounce off the surface. The same can be expected in this contest as well.
