PJB vs CHE MPL Team: Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings occupy the bottom two spots in IPL 2020 points table with just one win from four matches. While Kings XI Punjab has been at the receiving end of some close games, Chennai Super Kings have largely been uninspiring after their win in the season-opener against Mumbai Indians. A loss here would be detrimental for both teams and it would take a gargantuan effort to come back. Both teams have played their majority share of matches in Dubai which should serve their purpose well.
Kings XI Punjab has been playing some good cricket from the start of this season but were annihilated by the Mumbai batting firepower trio of Rohit, Pollard and Hardik. Their batting has been largely reliant on their openers Mayank and Rahul. The likes of Maxwell, K Nair and Sarfaraz Khan haven’t produced any major contributions while the young Pooran flatters to deceive. Their bowling attack has been good at the PowerPlay and middle-overs with Shami, Cottrell and Bishnoi being amongst the wickets regularly, but their death bowling lacks spine with the benching of C Jordan.
Chennai Super Kings came off a 5-day break to face Sunrisers Hyderabad and started pretty well by dismissing SRH’s top-order cheaply. But they let the match slip away with some poor catching and fielding efforts. Their top-order has been really poor with only Faf Du Plessis contributing consistently and it puts added pressure on the middle-order to perform with Dhoni’s form not helping them either. The bowling attack did a good job to dismiss SRH’s top-order and the onus will be on the batting unit to perform.

PJB vs CHE MPL Team, Playing XIs, Mega Contest
Team news: After the thrashing KXIP received against Mumbai Indians, they would want to bring in C Jordan for J Neesham and M Ashwin should be back in for K Gowtham.
There have been constant calls from everywhere to drop the underperforming K Jadhav from the eleven but knowing Dhoni’s method of backing players and the absence of a quality back-up they should stick with the same eleven that face Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Expected changes: For KXIP, C Jordan in for Neesham and M Ashwin in for K Gowtham
CSK should go unchanged for this match.
Underperformers/risky picks: K Nair has never been a consistent performer in IPL and his form this season is a worry too. There are chances that KXIP could replace him with someone like M Singh or D Hooda.
K Jadhav’s performances are the talking point in social media, he has a poor record for CSK with a strike-rate of under 100 which is unimaginable for a top-order batsman.
The predicted XIs for the PJB vs CHE MPL fantasy cricket tips are as follows:
KXIP Playing XI (predicted):
KL Rahul (C & WK)
CSK Playing XI (predicted):
Faf Du Plessis
MS Dhoni (C & WK)
KXIP vs CSK MPL Fantasy Cricket Tips
S Watson – He hasn’t been in great form but should be fired up with talks of getting him dropped from the eleven and if he sets his eye in, then no boundary size is enough in KXIP vs CSK today match prediction.
KL Rahul – He has been a consistent performer for KXIP since 2018 and is the 2nd highest run-scorer so far this season with 239 runs from 4 matches. The bowling attack of CSK suits his batting style to the T.
Faf Du Plessis – He has been the only contributor with the bat for this CSK line-up scoring 195 runs from 4 games. With not much firepower in the KXIP bowling line-up, expect another fifty-plus score from the South-African batsman.
R Bishnoi – CSK has an apparent weakness against leg-spinners especially the googly and who better than R Bishnoi to exploit those weaknesses. The Under-19 wrist-spinner has been impressive so far bamboozling batters with his deceptive googlies.
D Bravo – He was impressive in his comeback match against SRH with his slow-ball variations and with him bowling at the death, there are more chances of him picking some wickets.
S Cottrell – The left-arm pacer has been vital for KXIP’s bowling attack with his ability to pick early wickets. Watson and Du Plessis have some issues against left-arm pacers which makes a case for Cottrell’s inclusion.
