Having opted to bowl first, after winning the toss, South Africa bowled out Pakistan at 147 in 42 overs with the combined bowling efforts. While M Kapp, T Sekhukhune and skipper Sune Luus shared two wickets each, Masabta Klass took a hat-trick and folded up the visitors lower-order. Coming to chase, Lizelle Lee (40) and Laura Wolvaardt (74*) gave a solid start to the home side as they chased down the target in 36.4 overs with 8 wickets in hand.

Earlier, Pakistan registered a massive eight wickets win in the first ODI after bowling out the hosts for a paltry 63 runs total.

With the win in the second encounter, South Africa has moved to the sixth spot in the ICC points table. The three-match ODI series will be followed by 5 T20Is which are slated to begin from May 15, Wednesday.
