SA vs ENG Dream11 Prediction: After Jonny Bairstow’s stunning innings helped England chase down a difficult task, both teams will be locking horns again in the 2nd match of the series. The match will be played at Paarl and this will be an afternoon game. English top order will be hoping to get some runs under their belts while South Africa do have some issues in their death bowling. We will preview the match in our SA vs ENG Dream11 contest.

After being sent in, Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis ensured a quick first half for South Africa with a partnership of 77 runs for the second wicket. Latter made 58 while Rassie van der Dussen played a good hand while contributing 37 runs. Sam Curran was pick of the bowlers with 3 important scalps as South Africa posted 179 runs on the board.

In reply, England had a terrible start as Jason Roy, Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan were dismissed by the score of 34 runs. Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes came together for the trademark English recovery with a magnificent partnership. Jonny Bairstow was particularly destructive with some of his breathtaking pick up shots. He ensured the victory for his team with some crucial hits from Eoin Morgan and Sam Curran. Debutant George Linde and Lungi Ngidi took a couple each from South African perspective.

In head-to-head comparisons, honors have remained equal so far in the competition between these two sides. Both England and South Africa have registered victories in 9 matches each. In last 5 matches however, England have remained dominant with 4 wins. This will be the first game between these two teams at Paarl.

Pitch and Conditions

Pitches at Boland Park in Paarl have been slightly on the slower side in recent history. This is being the home venue for Paarl Rocks in Mzansi Super League, we have seen scores in the range of 150-160 on most occasions. Same conditions can be expected again tomorrow as two batting-heavy sides will go against each other. We are expecting a sunny afternoon in Paarl today.

  • We may see couple of changes in South African playing XI today from the last match.

Captain Picks

For Small Leagues

  • Faf du Plessis is the most reliable option from South Africa. He is coming off fresh from a very good IPL for CSK and continued on his form in the first match with an innings of 58. He is likely to bat in the middle order today and his role will be to provide a launching pad for the death overs.
  • Jonny Bairstow presented another account of his ability if we didn’t know already. His knock carried England home from nowhere literally. He enjoys batting against Tabraiz Shamsi and Lungi Ngidi with pretty dominant records.
  • Sam Curran can be a value for money option today for captaincy. As he is known for, he makes things happen with ball in his hand. He picked up 28 for 3 in the first outing and already riding high on confidence after a magnificent IPL season.

For Grand Leagues

  • Quinton de Kock was looking good while he was there on the crease last match. He can be a decent grand leagues option with wicket-keeping points also on offer for him. If he negotiates the new ball and stays in for the middle overs, he could be an antidote for Adil Rashid.
  • George Linde can be a real differential today. He is likely to open the bowling again today with two right-handers in his sight. Jason Roy particularly struggles against left-arm spin with 29 dismissals throughout his T20 career against that bowling type. George Linde’s runs down the order will always be an added bonus.
  • Given the quality he offers, Jos Buttler is a straight forward choice for captaincy in any of your teams. After a quiet first match, Jos Buttler is a kind of player whom you can trust to deliver. There is no real weakness in his game and if he gets his eyes in, there would be fireworks at Boland Park.

Who will win SA vs ENG Today Match Prediction?

As per our Today Match Prediction, England are outright favourites for the match again today. If you ever wanted an evidence of how big a white-ball giant this English outfit is, they provided in the first T20. From nowhere, they came back to go 1-0 up in the series. If they play anywhere near to their potential, this should be another victory for the tourists.
