Bristol, May 26, Sunday at 03:00 PM IST
The fifth warmup match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be played at County Ground, Bristol between South Africa and Windies.
This will be the second warmup game for South Africa. Proteas clinched 87 runs win over Sri Lanka in the first warmup game that was played in Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis and R v der Dussen were the key players with the bat while Andile Phelukwayo and Lungi Ngidi did the damage with the ball against Sri Lankan Lions.
Windies played an unofficial warmup match against Australia where they faced a drubbing and will be looking to get back on track with a win. Opener Evin Lewis and skipper Carlos Brathwaite resurrected the innings after the early collapse of 46/5 and gave Australia the target of 230 runs to win.
Head to head
South Africa- 07
*On Neutral Ground
Although Bristol County Ground is a belter wicket, the overcast conditions will surely help the seam bowlers. There are no chances of rain so a full game is expected and a tough battle between bat and ball is certain.
