SKN vs BAR Dream11 Prediction: The regiment of Caribbean Premier League has now moved just down the road to Port of Spain from Tarouba. Historical Queen’s Park Oval will be hosting them for the next round of matches in the group stage. First match to be played there is between two struggling teams this year: St Kitts and Nevis Patriots Vs Barbados Tridents. Both teams are occupying last two positions in the points table and they need to make their moves very quickly. We will preview the match in our Dream11 fantasy cricket.
In the last match against TKR, Barbados Tridents captain Jason Holder surprisingly decided to bowl first. Bowlers managed to control the opening pair of TKR but then after things started to fall apart for them. Colin Munro, Darren Bravo and Kieron Pollard belted the bowling to all parts of the ground and bowlers had absolutely no answers. The bowling changes and use of the bowlers were also not convincing enough from the captain. Chasing 186 for a win, Johnson Charles and Shai Hope began aggressively and put on 68 runs from just 8 overs. But then they lost 4 wickets in a cluster and that sucked up the whole momentum. Jason Holder’s unbeaten 34 were not enough as the Tridents lost the match by 19 runs.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots are in a precarious position at the moment. They have lost all their 3 matches so far in the competition. In the last game against St Lucia Zouks, Sohail Tanvir and Jon-Russ Jaggesar picked up two wickets each but all others bowlers proved expansive apart from captain Rayad Emrit. In batting while chasing 173, Chris Lynn and Evin Lewis failed to post significant contributions again. Only Denesh Ramdin resisted with an innings of 46 runs while others faltered to hand a win by 10 runs to the Zouks.
In Head-to-Head comparisons, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots have enjoyed an upper hand over Barbados Tridents. They have been on the winning side for 7 out of 11 meetings between them while Barbados Tridents took the honors on 4 occasions. They are meeting for the second time this year. In the first match, the Patriots failed to chase down a total of 153 and lost the match by 6 runs.
The weather is expected to remain clear for today’s match. Temperatures will be in the range of 28-31 degrees Celsius. This is the first match at Queen’s Park Oval for this season. Historically, pitches here have assisted the spinners but if they decide to leave grass on the pitch to prevent it from breaking, then there should be some early help for the pace bowlers.
