The Flamboyant shot maker from Centurion was at his stylish best in the first ODI. He got very close to his maiden century before getting caught out in the deep. He also rolled over his arm and got a wicket. Overall he has 820 runs, three half-centuries, and six wickets in 32 games.
Maharaj’s Test-cricket credentials have been well established, but he is still in the early stages of his ODI career. As his fellow bowlers kept disappearing to the boundary in the first game, Maharaj kept things tight. He gave away just 30 runs, picking up two wickets.
Kagiso Rabada is a serial wicket-taker wherever he goes. He generates good pace and bounce and troubles the finest of batsmen. He is adept at reverse swing as well and bowls accurately at the death.
