SL vs SA Dream11: The 3 match ODI series between Sri Lanka and South Africa is set up for a grand finale. The two sides are tied 1-1 after two games. Sri Lanka won a narrow victory in the opener before being outclassed in the second ODI in all departments.
South Africa won the toss in the second game and chose to bat. They posted 283/6 in 47 overs, riding on a century by Janneman Malan (121) and important contributions from Reeza Hendricks (51) and Heinrich Klaasen (43). In response, Sri Lanka got outspun in their own backyard as the visitors’ spinners took six wickets. Charith Asalank top scored with 77.
Asalanka has shown incredible consistency in his young career. He was the only one who offered some resistance in the second game. He has two consecutive fifties in the series (72&77).
Hasaranga had a rare off day with the ball in the second game but still managed a wicket. The leg spinner can also bat, scoring at an average of 26 with three half-centuries to his name in 28 games.
The 26-year-old is a very promising player. After narrowly missing out on a century in the first game, he got off to another good start. He made 21 of 29 balls. He can also bowl handy off-spin if required.
Maharaj has had added responsibility as the stand-in skipper in the absence of Quinton de Kock. He has been very frugal in the two games, picking up three wickets.
Shamsi has used the conditions in Sri Lanka to his advantage. He delivered his career-best figures in the previous game. We are backing him to deliver once again in the final.
The match can be streamed live on Sony Ten 2 and Sony Liv app.
