TKR vs BAR Dream11 Prediction: Caribbean Premier League can be counted as second best T20 competition in the world right now. The main reason for that would be the quality of teams that the league has. Almost all the sides are full of international match-winners as well as domestic talents. Another exciting contest coming your way this Sunday as Trinbago Knight Riders will take on Barbados Tridents in the 9th match of the season. We will preview the match in our Dream11 fantasy cricket.
Trinbago Knight Riders have been dominant team so far this season with a top position in the points table by the virtue of their two wins in as many matches. First they overcame Guyana Amazon Warriors and then they absolutely hammered Jamaica Tallawahs. In the last match against Jamaica, Ali Khan and Jayden Seales led the way with two wickets each. Sunil Narine, Fawad Ahmed and Dwayne Bravo also bowled well to restrict the Tallawahs for just 135 runs. In reply, Sunil Narine and Colin Munro made the light work of the chase as TKR stormed home by 7 wickets.
Barbados Tridents had an interesting start to the season this year. In the first match, they beat St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in a close encounter while they faltered in the second match against St Lucia Zouks. After a good opening partnership between Johnson Charles and Shai Hope, they lost a couple of wickets in a hurry. Kyle Mayers and Jason Holder rescued them a bit to set up a launching platform. But they lost the plot suddenly and gave way to a collapse before the rain came. They were 131-7 at that time and according to DLS method, the Zouks were given a target of 47 from 5 overs. Rashid Khan picked up a couple of scalps but that wasn’t going to be enough after a weak batting performance.
If we look at the history between both the sides, Trinbago Knight Riders are just ahead with 8 wins compared to 7 of Barbados Tridents in 15 matches between them. However, the Tridents have won last 3 matches against TKR. So, the Tridents will look to build upon the recent success against the in-form team of the tournament.
Clear skies are expected in most parts of the morning today. Temperatures in late 20s will make it a pleasant atmosphere for cricket. We may get a shower or two in between but nothing much serious apart from that. Same pitch from the yesterday’s matches will be in use again and there will be significant help for the slower bowlers.

As per our Dream11 predictions, Trinbago Knight Riders are favourites for this clash against Barbados Tridents. TKR have all their bases covered with plenty of all-rounders in their arsenal. But you can’t discount some of the match-winners from the Tridents squad. Especially, the spin-bowling cartel of the Tridents is among the bests in the competition.
