The fourth fixture of South Africa’s CSA T20 Challenge 2019 will be played between Warriors and Knights at Diamond Oval, Kimberley. Warriors have won their opening fixture against Titans while Knights suffered a defeat in the first encounter against Dolphins.
Having opted to bowl after winnings the toss, Warriors conceded way too many runs with the ball as Titans posted a mammoth 216-5 on the board. Andrew Birch, Sisanda Magala and Jade de Klerk were the most expensive especially J de Klerk, finishing at 21-0 in two overs. Lutho Simpala was the pick of bowlers, 2-34 in four overs. In reply, Warriors run chase was powered by G Cloete’s 46 of 25 deliveries. Warriors were 60-0 in 6 overs when the rain came into play. At that time, they were four runs ahead of the DLS par score and also the fact that they didn’t lose a wicket helped them clinch 4 runs win over Titans.

On the other side, Knights faced 4 wickets loss against Dolphins at Kingsmead Durban in the first game. Put into bat first, Knights managed 133-8 in the allotted overs. After a solid start of 46 runs for the first wicket, Knights middle order failed to capitalize the momentum as the side gave a decent 134 runs target to Dolphins. In reply, Dolphins chased down the target in 18.3 overs with 4 wickets in hand, courtesy Marques Ackerman (44 of 36).
