With only 10 days to go before the semi-finals, the 22nd match of Momentum One-Day cup will see Warriors and Knights squaring off against each other at the Buffalo Park in East London. Talking about the current scenario of the points table, Warriors with 4 wins from 7 games are perfectly poised at the second position, whereas, Knights who are still eyeing their first win of the season are languishing at the bottom of the ladder.
It was a rain-marred encounter when the last time these two sides locked horns for the first time this season. The match was reduced to 47-overs per side where Warriors clinched victory by 14 runs.
It was a bowlers day-out where the batsmen from either side looked completely hapless. Batting first, Warriors were bundled out for a mere 195 in 45.1 overs courtesy Jacques Snyman’s 4 for 36 from 10 overs.
It wasn’t a safe total to defend but the trio of JJ Smuts, Anrich Nortje and Andrew Birch had different plans altogether as they shared 7 wickets between them to wrap-up Knights for 184 which meant they were 14 runs short of the target.
