After a comfortable win over Royal Challengers Bangalore last night, MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings have moved to the top of the table yet again. Chasing a modest target of 157 on a slow wicket in Sharjah, CSK got off to a flyer with the help of their openers. Despite losing some wickets in the middle overs, their batting depth ensured they were under no pressure in the run-chase. They finally nailed down the target in the penultimate over of the match.
The point table is constantly changing after every match. Chennai Super Kings have toppled Delhi Capitals again to go to the top. With 7 wins in 9 matches, they are comfortably placed to qualify for playoffs. Meanwhile, two consecutive losses for Royal Challengers Bangalore will be a cause of concern for them. They are still third on the points table but they need to get back to winning ways. DC and CSK are the top two teams currently with 7 wins from 9 games each.
