Suresh Raina was the backbone of the team’s batting line-up and was in exceptional form throughout the tournament. He played a crucial role in the team’s victory in the final against Mumbai Indians, where he scored an unbeaten 57 off 35 balls. With this win, Chennai Super Kings earned their first IPL title.

Chennai Super Kings created history in the fourth season of the IPL by becoming the first team to win back-to-back titles. The defending champions held the title against the batting titans of the tournament, Royal Challengers Bangalore. The team’s batting unit was bolstered by the presence of Mr. Cricket, Michael Hussey, who played some crucial innings throughout the tournament. Hussey and Murali Vijay’s 159-run opening partnership against Royal Challengers Bangalore was the main reason for CSK defending their title.

The team’s captain, MS Dhoni, played his role to perfection, marshalling the team and providing the best finishes in most of the games. Chennai Super Kings’ performance in the tournament was exceptional, with the team winning nine out of 14 games. Their winning momentum continued in the playoffs, and the team emerged victorious in the final against Royal Challengers Bangalore, winning by 58 runs. With this win, CSK earned their second IPL title.

After serving a two-year suspension from the IPL, Chennai Super Kings came back stronger in 2018, winning their third IPL title. The team’s success can be attributed to their experienced players, Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson, who were the backbone of the batting unit. With this win, CSK became the second team to win more than two trophies in IPL history.

Chennai Super Kings made a remarkable comeback in the 14th edition of the IPL, winning their fourth title in style. The team’s journey to the finals was exceptional, with the likes of Faf du Plessis, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Moeen Ali leading the charge with bat, whereas, Dwayne Bravo and Deepak Chahar were instrumental with the ball. In the finals in Dubai, CSK (192/3) defeated KKR (165/9) by 27 runs as the Eoin Morgan led side failed to chase down CSK’s target and lost an opportunity to claim their hands on the IPL title for the third time.
