Early Days and IPL Debut

Comeback to CSK

After the two-year suspension, CSK returned to the IPL in 2018, and du Plessis was once again a key member of the team. He also took three catches in the tournament, showing that he was still one of the best fielders in the league.

In the 2019 season, du Plessis once again played a crucial role in CSK’s success, scoring 396 runs in 12 matches at an average of 36.00. He also took six catches in the tournament, showing his continued athleticism in the field. Although CSK did not win the tournament, du Plessis’ performances were recognized, and he was named in the IPL 2019 team of the tournament.
