The highest powerplay score in IPL history was scored by two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders in a league match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in 2017. In a playoff match against Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings were given a mammoth target of 225 runs to enter the finals. The Super Kings scored 100/2 in the powerplay phase, courtesy of a brisk 87 of 25 deliveries from Suresh Raina. 5. KXIP (86/1) vs SRH in IPL 2014

Explosive batting from Manan Vohra and Wriddhiman Saha commenced the chase of 212 runs aggressively for Kings XI Punjab against SRH, taking Kings XI Punjab to 86/1 in the powerplay.
