IPL Purple Cap Winner (Last 6 Years)

In the 2017 edition of IPL, Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the first player to win the Purple Cap in consecutive seasons, finishing with 26 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 14.19 and an economy rate of 7.05. He was instrumental in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s title-winning campaign that year and was a key factor in their bowling attack.

The 2018 season saw Andrew Tye of Rajasthan Royals take the Purple Cap with 24 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 18.66 and an economy rate of 8.00. Tye was the leading wicket-taker that season and played a crucial role in Rajasthan’s campaign, which saw them finish in the top four.
