It served as the home ground for Rising Pune Supergiant in the 2016 and 2017 seasons, and was temporarily used by Chennai Super Kings in 2018. When it comes to player Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium IPL records, the highest total at the Maharashtra Stadium in an IPL match was scored by Ambati Rayudu, who made 100 not out off just 62 balls for Chennai Super Kings against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018. The best bowling figures at the venue in an IPL match were recorded by Jaydev Unadkat, who took 5/25 for Rising Pune Supergiant against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017.
The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, also known as MCA Stadium, has been a regular host of Indian Premier League (IPL) matches since its first game in 2012. Ten matches have been played at the stadium so far, with the first one featuring Pune Warriors India and Kings XI Punjab. Apart from team records, several individual records have also been set at the MCA Stadium. Ambati Rayudu holds the record for the highest individual score in an IPL match played at the stadium. He scored an unbeaten 100 off just 62 balls while playing for Chennai Super Kings against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018. Rayudu’s innings included seven boundaries and seven sixes, and helped Chennai Super Kings win the match by eight wickets.
Jaydev Unadkat, who has played for both Rising Pune Supergiant and Rajasthan Royals, holds the record for the best bowling figures in an IPL match played at the MCA Stadium. He took five wickets for just 25 runs while playing for Rising Pune Supergiant against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017. Unadkat’s exceptional performance helped Rising Pune Supergiant restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad to just 176 runs in their 20 overs.
In terms of all-time leading run scorers and wicket takers at the MCA Stadium in IPL matches, Steve Smith and Ajinkya Rahane lead the charts for the most runs scored, with 482 and 467 runs respectively. Jaydev Unadkat also features in the list of leading wicket takers at the stadium, having taken 19 wickets in the matches played there. Dwayne Bravo is second on the list with 15 wickets to his name. These records highlight the individual performances that have contributed to the overall success of IPL matches played at the MCA Stadium.
