The Early Days:

Rinku Singh was born on October 12, 1997, in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. He started playing cricket at a young age and quickly made a name for himself in the local circuit. He was selected for the Uttar Pradesh Under-16 team and later played for the Under-19 team as well. In 2015, Rinku made his debut for Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy.

The IPL Career:

In 2018, Rinku Singh was picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 80 lakh. However, he didn’t have a great season and managed to score only 29 runs in four matches. Despite his poor performance, KKR saw potential in him and decided to retain him for IPL 2019.

In the off-season, Rinku Singh worked on his batting with KKR Assistant Coach Abhishek Nayar at the KKR Academy. His hard work paid off, and he had a great Ranji Trophy season in 2018-19, scoring 953 runs in 10 innings, including four centuries. This helped him gain confidence, and he was ready to take on the IPL once again.

In IPL 2019, Rinku Singh played five matches for KKR and scored 37 runs at an average of 18.50. While these may not be big numbers, they were a significant improvement from his previous season. He also showcased his fielding skills and took one catch in the tournament.

In IPL 2020, Rinku Singh played only one match for KKR and scored 11 runs. However, this was a challenging season for everyone due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and KKR didn’t have a great season either.

In IPL 2022, Rinku Singh had his best season yet. He played seven matches and scored 174 runs at an average of 34.80, including seven sixes and nine fours. He also took nine catches in the tournament, showcasing his improved fielding skills.
