Early Days in the IPL

He hit two half-centuries that season and played an instrumental role in helping the Royals reach the playoffs.

In 2015, Samson scored 204 runs at an average of 20.40 with a strike rate of 125.15. He played a few good innings that season, but his best knock came against the Mumbai Indians when he scored 76 runs off just 46 balls.

In 2018, Samson scored 441 runs at an average of 31.50 with a strike rate of 137.81. He hit three half-centuries that season, and his highest score was an unbeaten 92 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The 2019 season was another memorable one for Samson. He scored 342 runs at an average of 34.20 with a strike rate of 148.69. He hit a century that season, becoming the first player to hit multiple centuries for the Rajasthan Royals. His 102 not out off 55 balls against the Sunrisers Hyderabad was a breathtaking innings.

In 2020, Samson scored 375 runs at an average of 28.84 with a strike rate of 158.89. He hit three half-centuries that season, and his highest score was 85 against the Kings XI Punjab.

Samson continued his fine form in the 2021 season, scoring 484 runs at an average of 40.33 with a strike rate of 136.72. He hit a century that season, becoming the first player to hit three centuries for the Rajasthan Royals. His unbeaten 119 off 63 balls against the Punjab Kings was a stunning display of power hitting.
