His innings was laced with six fours and five sixes, and he was awarded the Player of the Match award for his efforts.

Gill’s impressive performances in the IPL have not gone unnoticed by the Indian cricket team selectors, who have included him in the national team set-up. He made his debut for India in January 2019 against New Zealand and has since played 11 Test matches and 14 ODIs, scoring 919 runs at an average of 32.82.
