Boult’s consistent performances have earned him a place in the New Zealand cricket team, and his excellence was on full display during the 2015 World Cup. He finished the tournament as the joint-highest wicket-taker with 22 scalps, which helped his team reach the final.

Trent Boult IPL has also played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for teams such as Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians in previous seasons. However, his first stint with the Rajasthan Royals in 2022 turned out to be a special one.

During the season, Boult formed a devastating new-ball partnership with Prasidh Krishna, which proved to be too much for their opponents to handle, especially during the Powerplay overs. The duo unleashed fury on the opposition and gave the Royals the perfect start in every match.

Boult’s consistent performances with the ball helped him finish the season with 16 wickets to his name, which made him one of the most successful bowlers in the tournament. Additionally, he also managed to bowl three maidens, which was the joint-most by any bowler.

Boult’s success in the IPL is a testament to his skills and ability to perform on any surface. His ability to swing the ball both ways, coupled with his accuracy, makes him a dangerous bowler for any team. Trent Boult’s impressive performance in the 2015 Cricket World Cup caught the attention of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, and he was picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2015 season. However, with a team already packed with star bowlers like Dale Steyn, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Karn Sharma, and Praveen Kumar, Boult got limited opportunities to showcase his skills. He played only seven matches and picked up nine wickets, which was a decent performance. But unfortunately, he didn’t get any further opportunities and was released by SRH.

In 2017, the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) bought Trent Boult for the IPL season. The 2018 season proved to be Boult’s best season in the IPL so far. The left-arm pacer picked up 18 wickets in 14 games, which helped his team to perform well in the tournament. However, after a modest IPL season in 2019, where he played only five matches, Boult was once again released by the Delhi Capitals.

Mumbai Indians saw potential in the Kiwi left-arm pacer and bought him from Delhi Capitals for a price-tag of Rs 3.2 crore in 2019. Boult joined fellow New Zealand paceman Mitchell McClenaghan in the MI squad. Boult’s experience and skills proved to be valuable for the team, and he played an essential role in helping Mumbai Indians win the IPL title in 2020. In conclusion, Trent Boult’s IPL journey has been a rollercoaster ride, but his skills and performances have made him one of the most successful bowlers in the tournament’s history. His contributions to Mumbai Indians have been significant.

New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult made his way to the Rajasthan Royals (RR) team before the start of the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Boult was acquired by the team for a whopping sum of ₹8 crore. Boult’s expertise as a senior pacer is expected to add depth to the RR’s bowling attack. He brings a wealth of experience to the team, having played for several franchises in the IPL previously.

Trent Boult had a successful debut season with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2022. The left-arm pacer took 16 wickets in 16 matches and maintained an economy rate of 7.94. Boult played a critical role in leading the Royals to the final of the tournament.

The seasoned pacer provided much-needed breakthroughs for the team during the powerplay overs, putting the opposition batsmen under pressure. Boult’s ability to bowl yorkers and slower deliveries in the death overs also proved to be a game-changer for the team.

Despite putting up a valiant effort in the final, the Royals were unable to clinch the title, losing to the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Boult’s contributions, however, were instrumental in helping the team reach the final.

Following his impressive performances, the franchise retained Boult’s services for the next edition of the tournament. The Royals management recognized Boult’s value to the team and was keen to retain him for his left-arm pace and death bowling skills.
