Mumbai Indians (MI) have certainly been the most dominant team in the IPL. They have been the champions in 2019 and 2020. The team has maintained its core group of players which is one of the major reasons for their consistent performance in the tournament.
Rajasthan Royals (RR), on the other hand, after a few failures, have been the finalists in the last season. Rajasthan Royals were the champions of the inaugural IPL season, but have been disappointing with their performances since then till 2021. In IPL 2023, both teams will rub shoulders with each other on April 30 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Mumbai Indians are just a tad ahead of Rajasthan Royals in terms of the head-to-head record in the IPL. In 28 clashes, Rajasthan have won 12 games, while Mumbai emerged winners 15 times with 1 match getting abandoned in 2009.
However, in the last 5 head-to-head clashes, MI has a lead of 4-1 over RR.
Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson and former Mumbai Indians Captain Rohit Sharma are at the top of this table. Rohit Sharma’s average doesn’t look promising though against Rajasthan Royals.
Three Veterans from both teams are at the top of the table. Jasprit Bumrah always rocks against Rajasthan Royals when both teams meet each other.
