The inaugural season took place at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground, Muscat, in January 2022. Three teams, namely India Maharajas, Asia Lions, and World Giants, captained by legendary cricketers Virender Sehwag, Misbah ul Haq, and Darren Sammy, respectively, participated in the event. Cricket greats like Brett Lee, Shoaib Akhtar, Muttiah Muralitharan, Kevin Pietersen, Irfan Pathan, and many more graced the tournament, thrilling fans with their unforgettable performances.
2. LLCT20: Franchise Format The LLCT20 franchise format, akin to other prominent T20 leagues, was launched in India in September 2022. Privately-owned teams competed across six major cities, providing fans with exciting cricketing action and memories to cherish. The second season of LLCT20 coincided with India’s 75th Independence celebrations, also known as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, held between September and October 2022.
