Who won today’s IPL match?: The 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 saw Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. KL Rahul’s love-affair with MI continued as he smashed his second century of the season, which helped his side to win the match and hand the Rohit Sharma-led side their 8th straight loss.
Asked to bat first, Lucknow Super Giants looked very sloppy with the bat at first and were struggling to time the ball. In the process, they lost Quinton de Kock (10), Manish Pandey (22), Marcus Stoinis (0) and others for low scores. Skipper Rahul once again led from the front and scored his second century of the season that helped LSG post a fighting total of 168 runs on the board.

Chasing the target, skipper Rohit Sharma came out with a positive intent and tonked LSG bowlers all over the park for his 39 runs knock. However, after they they lost four wickets quickly and found themselves tumbling at 67/4. After that Tilak Varma and Kieron Pollard rescued their side’s innings and kept ticking the scoreboard but in the end pressure got off them as they were left with too much in the last over. With 39 runs needed off the last over Krunal Pandya gave only three runs to win the match for his side.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul was awarded Man of the Match in today’s match against Mumbai Indians. Opening the batting, the right-hander scored his second century of the season and helped his side post a total of 168 runs on the board. Rahul scored unbeaten 102 runs in 62 balls with the help of 12 fours and 4 sixes. He scored over 50% of the runs for his team.
