  • Harmanpreet’s father was also a passionate cricketer but he chose to be a clerk at some judicial court to provide for her and her family. He was the first coach Harman ever had, who taught her how to play
  • When things were not looking good for her Harmanpreet applied for a job in the Punjab Government but only to be ridiculed and humiliated by the Punjab Police in 2010. However, three years later Maharashtra Government employed her in the Mumbai Division of Western Railways upon Sachin Tendulkar’s request.
  • Harmanpreet even captained the Indian side in 2013 when Bangladesh Women team toured India. She was the backbone behind India’s success as she scored 195 runs and took two wickets, even hitting her second ton in the second ODI
