In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017-18 season, Mayank scored 723 runs in a total of 8 matches at an average of 90.37.
He broke Dinesh Karthik’s record of most runs in a Vijay Hazare Trophy season after the semi-final. He also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most runs in a List-A series by an Indian batsman in the final game.
He is the only batsman to score 2000 runs in a single domestic season.
Although his favorite cricketer is V Sehwag, Mayank idolizes Sachin Tendulkar and is the reason behind his passion for cricket.
