ARS vs LIV Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
Liverpool will be playing host to Arsenal in the final round of Premier League fixtures for 2018 at Anfield, in Liverpool, on Saturday night (IST).

Liverpool:
Only two times it happened in the last 10 years that a team sitting at the top at Christmas couldn’t win the Premier League. And both those instances featured Liverpool; 2008-09 season and the infamous 2013-14 season when the Reds shot themselves on the foot. Could this be the third time lucky for Liverpool? Or the history repeats itself?

But there is no denying that the team Jurgen Klopp has assembled this time around is a totally different animal than those two teams which came so close to end Anfield’s league hoodoo.

The 2008-09 team had Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano in the midfield, and there was Fernando Torres, arguably the best striker in Europe at that time. While the 2013-14 team had the famous SSS partnership i.e. Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling, and as always Gerrard was the driving force in the midfield.

But beyond the starting line-up, there was no player on the bench who could have influenced the game. The starting 11 was all that both Rafa Benitez and Brendon Rodgers could have relied upon. However, that’s not the case with Klopp at this moment.

The midfield is stocked with talented players and there are more than a handful of options, each bringing their own unique skill and traits. Klopp can even change the shape of his team when Xherdan Shaqiri plays as a playmaker with two defensive midfielders playing beside him.

This immense depth in the squad is the reason why Liverpool are now sitting at the very top of the Premier League, and still remain the only team not to taste a defeat in the league this season.

Arsenal:
Improvement is always seen through the lenses of the past when the situations are compared with how things are in the present circumstances. And if you look at Arsenal, it won’t do justice at all.

However, for the fans totally enchanted by the points tally, the Gunners are four points and one place better this time around than they were last season. But improvement is just not the points table for Arsenal. There is more optimism surrounding the club this season, the fans are happy with the work manager Unai Emery has done in the first five months and there is satisfaction with the way things are moving at the Emirates Stadium despite the club sitting on the fringes of the Champions League places in the Premier League.

Also, the club has seen a 22-game unbeaten streak across all the competitions this season which was the first such streak in the last 12 years or so. Gunners are also in the Europa League knockout stages and you would fancy them to make a deep run considering the record Emery has in this competition. And there’s more than a realistic chance for Arsenal to finish in the top-4.

But Emery’s men have lost a bit of momentum in the last four games or so. Their unbeaten run ended on the south coast against Southampton, and they lost again in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal. While a 3-1 home win over Burney remain their only positive result in the last four games.

ARS vs LIV Dream11 TEAM NEWS: Injuries and Suspensions
Liverpool vs Arsenal Team News:

Liverpool:
Injured – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn’t featured for Liverpool this season since suffering a major knee ligament injury against Crystal Palace last season. The 26-year-old is expected to miss the rest of the season. While Rhian Brewster remains a long-term absentee.
Centre-backs Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are still a few weeks away from returning to the squad.

Suspended – None
Questionable – Midfielder James Milner and left-back Alberto Moreno were the surprise absentee from the matchday squad against Newcastle United. Manager Jurgen Klopp later told that the situation was not a grave one and both the players may return to the squad.
Striker Dominic Solanke is also a doubt for this match.

Note: We could see some changes here as the festive period could see some players suffering from fatigue. The centre-back has no room for changes with both Matip and Gomez out injured. Andy Robertson has no backup but James Milner may play there while Alexander-Arnold could be given a rest with Nathaniel Clyne playing at his position.
In the midfield, Naby Keita and Fabinho both could start the match, while Shaqiri may or may not start and it depends on whether Klopp goes for three-men midfield the with Swiss as the man as a playmaker.

Key Players – Salah, Mane, Firmino

Arsenal:
Injured – The visitors have some big issues, particularly at the back.
Rob Holding has been ruled out for the rest of the season, while Konstantinos Mavropanos and Hector Bellerin both won’t be involved in this match due to injuries.
Striker Danny Welbeck and playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan both are in the treatment room and will be trip to Liverpool. Emile Smith-Rowe is another absentee for this match.
Suspended – None.
Questionable – There could be more issues as Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal and Laurent Koscielny all are carrying knock and will be assessed ahead of the match.
Note: The match at Anfield will no doubt be played at a high-intensity rate and considering Mesut Ozil’s reluctance to contribute in the defensive department, Emery may decide to bench him in this game.
Key Players – Aubameyang, Lacazette

ARS vs LIV Dream11 Playing 11 – (Probable) –
Liverpool– Alisson (GK), Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Henderson, Salah, Firmino, Mane
Arsenal– Leno (GK), Mustafi, Sokratis, Koscielny, Maitland-Niles, Torreira, Xhaka, Kolasinac, Ramsey, Iwobi, Aubameyang

ARS vs LIV Dream11 FANTASY TEAM:
 Team 1:

Arsenal have some serious issues at the back and thstth why we have gone with Sokratis and Kolasinac, while Van Dijk and Lovren are forming a good partnership at the back.

There are reports that Mesut Ozil suffered a knee injury in the training and that’s why we have overlooked him. While Salah and Mane pick themselves. Fabinho should start after coming off the bench against Newcastle.

Formino and Lacazette are our strikers.

Team 2:

Salah and Firmino are captain and vice captain. Formino has a good record against Gunners.

Aubameyang is leading the goal scoring charts and he can easily be your captain.

Henderson and Torreira will be playing as the holding midfieldera.

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
Liverpool hold a superior head-to-head record against Arsenal, winning 86 times against 78 losses out of the total 225 meetings between these two clubs. And the recent results also show that it could be another Liverpool victory. However, under Unai Emery, the Gunners have shown that they are capable of competing with the very best.
But at the moment, Liverpool are a step ahead of others and a home win is all we can see here.
