AVL vs EVE Dream11 Match Preview, Team News, Lineups

Reality is dawning upon manager Dean Smith and his staff that the profile of the club alone won’t be enough to survive the first-season hurdle.

The task is huge for the manager, with the bad start to the season making the situation relatively more grave for him even at this early stage, putting pressure on him to turn the tide.

The Villans are next up against Everton, a team which has been built over the last two summers, including this transfer window, to end the monopoly of top-six. That’s why it’s not an easy game by any means for the hosts, in fact, a possible danger which could hand Villa its 3rd straight defeat by the end of this round of matches.

However, Everton’s big-spending means Marco Silva is prone to scrutiny. He can no longer afford the breathing space and has to maintain a good level of consistency throughout the season.

Aston Villa Team News:

  • Villa are without three players for Everton match, in the form of James Chester, Kortney Hause, and Jonathan Kodjia.
  • No other injury concern or suspension to contend with for the hosts.

Possible INs and OUTs of this game:

  • After two consecutive defeats, a shakeup in the playing 11 is expected from the Villans.
  • Though, the most likely change is expected to come at the wing-positions or in the midfield.
  • Neil Taylor and Ahmed Elmohamady could be dropped in favor of Matt Targett and Frederic Guilbert respectively.
  • Anwar El Ghazi has failed to make an impact and could be benched here for Jota.

  • However, the Brazilian is under pressure, especially from Conor Hourihane.

Aston Villa Probable XI:

Tom Heaton (GK), Matt Targett, Tyrone Mings, Bjorn Engles, Frederic Guilbert, Trezeguet, Jack Grealish, Douglas Luiz, John McGinn, Jota, Wesley

Everton FC Team News:

  • Everton will be almost at full strength if a few players recover in time to feature here.
  • One of the players is the former Aston Villa man, Fabian Delph, who arrived at Goodison Park from Manchester City this summer. The England international has returned to the training and could be available for the match.
  • Everton’s current player of the year Lucas Digne hobbled off with a thigh problem last weekend and is a huge doubt for the game, as is his counterpart Leighton Baines, who has some fitness issues at the moment.

Possible ins or outs of this game:

  • Moise Keane had a bright cameo off the bench in the last game and could start ahead of local boy Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Last Season:

  • Games: 43
  • Goals: 17
  • Assists: 10

Jack Grealish: Villa’s biggest star perhaps. He was on Spurs’ radar, but the Villans couldn’t be hard-pressed, and he remained on these shores. The 23-year-old is a crafty player, whose main strength lies in his passing and game understanding.
