AVL vs NEW Dream11 Match Prediction

AVL vs NEW Dream11: Newcastle United hit the road as they travel to midlands to take on Aston Villa in the Premier League, hoping to win their 3rd consecutive win in the top-flight in almost a year. The match is critical for the home team as it aims to end the three-game skid here.

Seven of the eleven points that the Villans have mustered this season from the first 12 games came in a three-game unbeaten stretch. It shows how inconsistent and poor Dean Smith’s team has been in the majority of the season so far. The threat of relegation is real as they sit only 1 point above the relegation zone heading into this match.

So in a sense, the international break may have come at the right time for Aston Villa, as Smith looks to galvanise his troop for the tough fixture list which includes the games against the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Leicester City and Sheffield United.

While the Magpies seem to have turned the corner around following some impressive displays both at home and on the road. They have three wins in the last five games, including a 1-0 win over Manchester United, and 2-3 away at West Ham United. There won’t be a shortage of motivation for Steve Bruce and his men to give their all in this game as a win will take Newcatsel above Manchester United on the points table.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle United team news:

Aston Villa team news: Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is in line to make his first appearance in four weeks following a calf injury. His absence is one of the big factors in Villa’s patchy form.

Villa will hope that first-choice- goalkeeper Tom Heaton is fit to start here, having returned to the training ground this week following a calf injury.

In addition, Bjorn Engels and Jota (both groin) are doubtful and will be monitored before the game, while Keinan Davis and Jed Steer remain out with injuries.

Newcastle United team news: The Toons will have to deal without their captain Jamaal Lascelles who has been ruled out until next year with a fractured leg. It’s a huge blow for the team as the 26-year-old has been one of the best players for Newcastle this season.

Newcastle are also without winger Matt Ritchie, who is yet to feature this season as he recovers from an ankle injury.

Central defender Ciaran Clark is is a doubt for this game due to a minor injury but Bruce said that he expects Clark to be fit for the match.

Likely changes: Fabian Schar and Florian Lejeune both have recovered from knee injuries, but Paul Dummett is the likely replacement for the injured Lascelles at the back. That said, Schar could still get te start if Clark fails to shake off a minor knock. Otherwise, Steve Bruce will go with the same playing 11 that started against Bournemouth before the international break.
